A cell phone exploded in the house of a family with no previous signs and caused property damage only. Awkwardly, the cell phone exploded when it was not in use, but while it was placed under the pillow of a sleeping child. One of the family members says that his brother survived the explosion by miracle.
The explosion occurred at night when all the family members were deep asleep. Because of the high resonance of the explosion all family members woke up scared, ran out of the house thinking it was an earthquake or a gas cylinder explosion or a heater explosion. The explosion caused a fire, although restricted, yet it caused furniture damage. The most probable reason for the explosion is the battery overheating.
